About the studio

Two people, a pile of prototypes, and one very small box.

Guubra Games is an independent tabletop studio in the Netherlands. We make short, tactical games that fit on a cafe table and still give you something to argue about on the way home.

Registration day at the KVK - the morning Guubra Games stopped being a side project.

How we work

Three rules we keep coming back to

01

Room to grow into

Our games start simple and get deeper on purpose. Pick the level of complexity that suits the table you are at tonight, then climb when you are ready for more.

02

Every decision should hurt

A turn is only interesting if giving something up is part of it. We cut anything that lets you play on autopilot.

03

Build in the open

Art reveals, card spoilers, and the calls we got wrong. The design diary is public because watching a game get made is half the fun.

Timeline

Where we are

Before 2026

Kitchen-table years

Stickman Skirmish existed as scrap paper, sleeved proxies and long arguments about whether Armor was overpowered. It was.

2026

Guubra Games is registered

We walked into the Chamber of Commerce and walked out with a company, a welcome folder and a deadline we set ourselves.

Now

Stickman Skirmish, in the open

Eight classes, art in progress, and a public design diary. The class quiz is live so you can find your pairing before the box exists.

Next

Launch, then game two

Finish the first box, get it into hands, and keep prototyping. The newsletter is where both get announced first.

Follow the build

The design diary lands in your inbox, not an algorithm. One email every few weeks, and the list hears about launch first.
